Debate night: Should rich people have more power?

Details
63% of UK citizens feel that the rich have too much power (Opinium poll Jan 2025) and recent global news highlights how wealthy people in politics can cause problems for everyone else. In most countries there's a connection between wealth and power, with different systems having different results in limiting their reach and influence.
We'll discuss...
1. Is the world becoming a bro-ligarchy and plutocracy?
2. Are there any benefits to keeping rich people in power?
3. Taxes, political restrictions and rule of law - how to limit the influence of the wealthy?
IMPORTANT: we meet at a public cafe' and the cafe's staff is not involved with us. To find us, please go straight to the orange seating area near the long wall with many photos OR check our comments below for more help!
