🏖️ Hike in Sussex coast: Chichester Harbour, West Wittering Dunes 19km

Join us for a refreshing coastal adventure through the scenic landscapes of Chichester Harbour and West Wittering! Starting in Chichester, we’ll stroll along the peaceful canal path, join the estuary, and follow the edge of Chichester Harbour — spotting elegant boats and wildlife along the way.

Our journey continues along the beach to the stunning sand dunes of East Head, a protected area of special scientific interest known for its wildflowers, skylarks, and even the occasional seal at low tide. You’ll enjoy beautiful views across Bracklesham Bay toward the Isle of Wight, ending in the picturesque village of West Wittering. We’ll then take the bus back to Chichester station.

🗺️ Walk Details:
• Distance: 12–13 miles
• Route: Point-to-point (Chichester to West Wittering)
• Difficulty: Fairly easy, flat paths, no steep climbs
• Total time: ~7 hours (including breaks and return travel)

🍓 Essentials to Bring:
• Packed lunch
• Plenty of water
• Sunscreen
• Comfortable walking shoes
• A few pounds for drinks or ice cream at local stops

☕ We’ll take short breaks at a cafe or pub for drinks only — lunch is BYO. Expect a relaxed pace and plenty of time to soak in the views.

• Depart: Victoria Station at 09:35 AM
• Arrive: Chichester at 11:07 AM

🚌 Return Journey:
• Bus from West Wittering to Chichester
• Return train from Chichester to London Victoria around 5:30 PM
