Martial Arts 101

While this Martial Arts class is ideal for beginners to build a movement vocabulary and to cultivate a Martial Arts mindset in this class there will also be shared pointers which advanced students will find very useful in advancing their practice to the next level.

Objective: To lay the multi-disciplinary martial arts framework in order for students to continue further practice in their desired style!!

Activity: Warm Ups Duration: 10 minutes - A combination of leg stretches, arm stretches, core stretches and some light cardio.

Activity: Drills Duration: 30 minutes - A combination of stances, hand strikes, leg strikes and blocks.

Activity: Sparring/Cool Down Duration: 20 minutes Call-and-response drills. Push hands. And light contact. Cool Down exercise with discussion of martial arts philosophy.

Note: Other topics may be added to this class and the topics and format covered in this class may change, depending on the needs of the students and the inclinations of the instructors who are hosting this class.
