Trail Magic Kindness is appropriate for this month since we've been talking about KINDNESS. After the hike, we'll grab a bite to eat and head off to a place on the Appalachian Trail near Hot Springs to hand out drinks and snacks to the through-hikers! Feel free to bring your own cooler or you can help me, Holly, hand out the magic of an unexpected kindness! Bring a chair! Let's spread a little love to those hikers!Nice cardio-hike up the summit of Bailey Mountain. Doing the loop results in a 5 mile hike. You can optionally do this as an out-and-back up to the summit for a 4 mile hike. See https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/north-carolina/bailey-mountain-summit-via-richard-l-hoffman-trail for this option. The bulk of the elevation gain occurs during the first 2 miles up to the summit, so you'll do that regardless of the option you choose.
