The Great Plugin Throwdown

Bring your favorite plugins up to the chopping block and see how many make it home! We're going to blast through hundreds of plugins at this meetup and by the end of the night you'll not only be a plugin expert, you'll also know exactly which plugins you should be using for your site and why.

Oh yeah, we'll also talk about striking a proper balance in your plugins, what to avoid, and how to get the best performance regardless of how many plugins you actually use.

Special Guest Speaker

Ryan Imel, Editor-in-Chief of WPCandy.com and the WPCandy Quarterly, will be coming in to share his personal experience with hundreds of plugins, breaking them down into his most favorite across a number of categories. You won't want to miss this meetup.

Ryan mentioned a few plugins that I'll have to check out. I'm looking forward to getting a copy of his presentation. I wish others had shared more of their favorites.

I'm glad I went. It was the first MeetUp event I have attended. Thanks for the presentation Ryan. Many of those plugins I was not familiar with. They will be useful in solving some problems I am having. For instance, I have a client who wants me to publish a post right at 5pm every Friday. I think there was a calendar plugin that can automate when a post publishes? I will check out StartBox too. Thanks

The Plugin Throwdown Meeting was definitely worth my time. I learned several new ways to improve my sites and save administrative time which will allow me more time on visible site operations and site traffic improvements for my customers.

I was surprised only one topic was covered. But, I guess that keeps it short and to the point.

The rapid fire review was a great way to introduce new plugins for a variety of situations. Something for everyone.
