Windows App Developers and the Future

Details
What's the future for Windows Apps developers?
Do you develop for your job (employee or contractor)?
Do you develop for fun / as a hobby project?
Do you build apps or games?
Do you create for mobile, desktop, or something else?
Do you just focus on Windows or other platforms as well?
Do you do other forms of development as well?
Have you been doing this for years or just getting started?
I want to hear from you!
In a change from our usual meeting format, I'm taking a day to explore what the future looks like for people interested in Windows app development and I'd love your input.
On Tuesday, March 21st I'd love to meet up and hear from you about what the future holds for your Windows app development plans and expectations.
Here's my plan.
Over a pub lunch (approx 12-3), I'd like to discuss with anyone who can attend about your thoughts on the subject. Or anything related really.
After that, I'd like to carry on the discussion in a nearby coffee shop (TBC). We might even break out the laptops and write some code if it seems appropriate too.
Come the evening, we'll head down The Bell Pub to join the Azure User Group as they're having a session on Bots (https://www.meetup.com/UKAzureUserGroup/events/237803245/). I think this will be relevant as "Bots are the new apps (http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/news/2016/03/30/microsof-ceo-nadella-bots-new-apps/82431672/)" apparently. Please register (https://www.meetup.com/UKAzureUserGroup/events/237803245/) separately if coming to this.
Come when you can and stay as long as you wish. It'll be great to see you if you can make it.
These discussions will hopefully be interesting to all and could help inform the future direction of this group.
If you can't come but have some thoughts on the future of Windows Apps that you'd like to share then please leave a comment or send me an email.
