We run an open mat for amateur wrestlers (freestyle, greco-roman and folkstyle). Most of our members are experienced wrestlers and many are coaches. But beginners are welcome and somebody will work with you to teach you the basics.
Hope is very centrally located, just off I-290, easily acessible by car and public transportation. The official address is 2189 W. Bowler St. but DO NOT use this address to find the school. Not only is it hard to get to, you will NOT be able to park on Bowler St. or nearby. Instead, use the large parking lot behind the building off of Ogden Ave. The lot is just southwest of the MOPD Field Office, which is at 2102 W. The gym is located just south of the the parking lot off the alley. Since we are not permitted to leave the door open you should bang loudly on the steel back door or come around to the fron and knock on the glass doors and somebody will let you in.
