Write Club (formerly Monday Night Writers: Houston) is a writing club for authors of all experience levels. We meet several times a month for critiques, workshops, write-ins, and to share our work. Write Club recreates the college writing workshop experience. Whether you write professionally, are trying to get published, or would just like to hone your writing skills, everyone who is capable of being constructive and taking constructive criticism is welcome.
Long Critique Format:
1. Please sign up on the linked Google Doc or message the organizer to be added to the list. Here is the link to the sign up sheet: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oH3W4idFZQEvVccVb0TdUXtEj1Upl9VS26d7z65vmkU
2. Presenters will email their piece to the organizer at danielle.nicole.husband@gmail.com no later than 5 days before the critique session.
3. Group members will read the submitted work before the critique session.
5. We will critique each piece during the long critique session. If there is time, we'll also do a writing activity.
Page Limits:
Prose/Nonfiction/Article/Screenplay - No more than 20 pages double spaced
Poetry - One large poem (no more than 3 pages) or 3 small poems (no more than 1 page)
