(SF) Hack-A-Thon! Swimming in the deep water: a lone writer’s survival guide

Details
Calling all writers! Share your experience and expertise!
If you're the new sole writer at a company and you've inherited a mess, what should you do first? What decisions (and trade offs) are the most important to address right away? What are the milestones you would try to hit in the first 30, 60, and 90 days?
We started a guide for people who are thrown into the deep end to give them a plan for the first 90 days. This hack-a-thon is to continue that work.
Everyone has something to share, so join us for this exciting hack-a-thon! We need writers who are (or have been) sole writers at a company, writers with lots of experience, and everyone in between!
The docs will be on GitHub, so it'll be helpful to have an account (https://github.com/join). And if you're new to GitHub, consider attending a Hands-On Demo/Tutorial the week before, at WTD-East Bay, https://www.meetup.com/Write-the-Docs-SF/events/248482881/.
What to bring: Laptop or tablet helpful for accessing the hack-a-thon docs.
HOSPITALITY: Food and drink will be provided for this meetup
VENUE INFORMATION: Enter on Spear St. side; walk through the doors labeled "345 Spear". Take the elevator to the 7th floor, where someone will check you in for the event.
