Developer Advocates build bridges between a company and its community of developers. This panel was set up for technical writers who want to know more about the dev-rel space.
But you can also bring your questions if you're a veteran Developer Advocate.

MEMBERS OF OUR PANEL
Tamao Nakahara has over 20 years of DX, DevRel, Community, Ecosystem Alliances, and Event experience. Before running Developer Experience at Weaveworks, she was Director of DevRel at New Relic and ran open source community programs at VMware and Pivotal for Cloud Foundry, Spring, Hadoop, RabbitMQ, and Redis. In her "free" time, she co-founded and co-organizes DevRelCon SF to build out a community of community builders!
Steve Pousty is a Dad, Son, Partner, and Director of Developer Relations for Crunchy Data (PostgreSQL people). He goes around and shows off all the great work the PostgreSQL community and Crunchy Committers do. He can teach you about Data Analysis with PostgreSQL, Java, Python, MongoDB, and some JavaScript. He has deep subject area expertise in GIS/Spatial, Statistics, and Ecology. He has spoken at over 75 conferences and done over 50 workshops including Monktoberfest, MongoNY, JavaOne, FOSS4G, CTIA, AjaxWorld, GeoWeb, Where2.0, and OSCON. Before Crunchy Data, Steve was a developer evangelist for DigitalGlobe, Red Hat, LinkedIn, deCarta, and ESRI. Steve has a Ph.D. in Ecology. He can easily be bribed with offers of bird watching or fly fishing.
Ron Powell works for CircleCI as a developer advocate producing content that enables developers to build, test, and deploy their projects faster. Previously, he was a developer evangelist at Samsung Electronics, America where he specialized in 360-degree video production and developing applications for virtual reality hardware, wearables, and IoT.

LOCATION: WeWork is at 1111 Broadway, between 11th and 12th streets. It's on the third floor of the building.
GETTING THERE:
12th Street BART station is near the building. Exit BART to the street level, and look for the WeWork sign at the corner of 12th and Broadway. Check in with security and come up to the third floor.
Paid parking is available on both sides of Franklin street, between 9th and 11th streets. We recommend the garage at Pacific Renaissance Plaza, 988 Franklin Street. It's easy to get into and the least expensive option (Parking for the duration of the event will cost you about five or six dollars.) Following 11th or 12th street to the northwest will take you to the building, 1111 Broadway. Look for the WeWork sign at the corner of Broadway and 12th; Check in with security and come up to the third floor.
