Write the Docs Bay Area is bringing together the community for an evening focused on the future of developer experience. Modern developer platforms rely on high-quality documentation to help users understand APIs, build faster, and solve problems efficiently. As AI tools reshape workflows, documentation teams are rethinking how content is created, maintained, and delivered.
Join technical writers, developer advocates, engineers, and product leaders for an evening of insights, discussion, and meaningful connections.

Tips on planning your commute to the meetup.
📍 Venue Address: 101 Spear St (5th Floor)
Arrival Time: 6:00 PM | Location: Spear & Mission St, SF
Public Transportation (Best Option)
Avoid rush hour traffic by using Embarcadero Station, just a 5-minute walk away.
- BART:
- Muni Metro: J, K, L, M, N, or T lines all stop at Embarcadero.
- Walking Directions: Exit the station onto Market St, walk one block south, and turn right onto Spear St.
Parking & Driving
Expect heavy bridge and downtown traffic. We recommend these specific lots:
- Board an SF-bound BART train that stops at Embarcadero Station (lines include Richmond→Daly City or Pittsburg/Bay Point→SFO/Millbrae). Trains run every 10–15 minutes around 6 PM; travel time depends on your starting point (10–40 min).
- 110 Main St Lot: (5-min walk) Best for late stays. Open 24/7.
- Embarcadero Center 4 Garage: (7-min walk) Large, reliable, and open 24/7.
- Street Parking: Meters in this zone generally become free at 6:00 PM, but spots are extremely rare. Check signs carefully for "Tow-Away" or "Commercial Only" restrictions.
- ⚠️ Avoid: The Rincon Center Garage at 121 Spear, as it typically closes right at 6:00 PM.
Pro Tips
- Pre-book Parking: Use SpotHero or ParkMobile for the 110 Main St lot to secure a spot and a lower rate.
- Vehicle Safety: Do not leave any bags or items visible inside your car (even in "secure" garages).
