Purpose of Short Story Writers Round Table:
Welcome. If you write for potential publication, visit Short Story Writers Round Table. Meet fellow writers who share works and critiques and can be a great Beta feedback group. We have revised our schedule to meet digitally the 3rd Saturday of each month (not December). See the MeetUp dates to enter your RSVP to attend.
Visit up to two meetings for free to get a sense of our group’s efforts.
Membership is for intermediate to advanced skill level -- regularly writing fiction or non-fiction whether for self- or traditional-publishing.
A fee is required upon joining for MeetUp - less than $15 total for 11 meetings during a year, paid promptly c/o group's coordinator.
Participation includes:

1. Regularly submitting writing samples
2. Carefully reading others' stories
3. Preparing constructive commentary
4. Attending monthly on-line meetings.

Content/Decency Rules: Most topics/genres are acceptable. However, avoid scenes of animal cruelty, excessive profanity/violence, pornography, racism, graphic or gratuitous sex, or other content that is not appropriate for a mainstream literary audience.

RSVP: In MeetUp complete and save your Meetup PROFILE (include a photo and your email address). Please RSVP that you plan to attend an upcoming meeting in order to save your place.

Please provide your email address, so that our Group Coordinator, Art Williams, can email the latest short stories and a Google Meet link to you, confirming the date and time of the next meeting.

Critiques: After you decide to join the group as an active member, you may submit one short story (within noted criteria above) per meeting by email to the other members who each critique it during the month's meeting. Total annual fee is less than $15, due in the spring or prorated throughout the year.

Prior to the meeting you will receive emails from members containing their submission. You are to read the stories before the meeting and offer your critique/comments live during the meeting. When an active member, you are to write and email your own short story to the group at least 5 days before the meeting.
