You are invited to join this loop hike by the Meetup group "Walking, Talking, maybe a Picknick". This is a great opportunity to walk on a Dutch Mountain 😅

Intro
We're going to hike ~22km, walk around the Sint Pietersberg, stroll from one fort to another, pass a beautiful castle and stress test fear of height when we walk the unique toll fee hanging bridge high over the Albert Canal.

The walk allows for panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, forts and the river Meuse.
The hike most likely ends on the terrace of the lunch house adjacent to the parking, where a drink rewards us for the hike done.

Start and assembly location
Luikerweg 80, 6212 NH Maastricht, Netherlands
Please park on the right side when you enter the oval parking, the assembly point is on the North West side of the parking oval.
Please be on time as we will leave at 10:30.

By car
This is the only viable option.
Approximately 1h15 drive.

By public transport
Not recommended. At all.

Dogs, cats, other animal
This time no pets allowed.

The hike and your preparation
This 22km hike will take approximately 5.5 hours, including breaks. Bring your own lunch and water, and lightweight rain jacket.

The weather forecast suggests cloudy sky
and an occasional rain shower, temperature around 22°C.
