Hiking along and between the Dijle and the Lasne rivers

You are invited to join this one-way hike by the Meetup group "Walking, Talking, maybe a Picknick". This is a great opportunity to walk through Wallon and Flemish hills and river valleys. 😊
Elevation up to 160 meters.
There may even be time for a drink at cafe corner at the end.

BTW, Last year that wooden path was just above the waterline. 😊

Intro
We're going to hike 19.5 km next or to close to the Flemish river Dijle, the Wallon Lasne river and the hills in between. Very scenic environment!

Start, assembly and finish location
We start at station Gastuche and end at station Sint Joris Weert.
Please be on time as we will leave at 09:50 sharp.

By car
Yes this is possible. Be advised to park your car next to station Gastuche.
In the afternoon you may want to join the rest leaving from Sint Joris Weert station as we will pass station Gastuche on our way back to Brussels.

The hike and your preparation
This 19.5km hike will take approx 5.5 hours, including a bring-your-own-lunch and shorter breaks. Please bring your smile, hat, sun cream, enough water.

The weather forecast for now suggests sunny and cloudy 15 °C - 20 °C. There is no mention of rain. Anyway make sure to carry enough water.
