About us
Hello and welcome to Wyrd West London Dungeons & Dragons! đđ§ââ
â
What is Wyrd West (WW)?
A community of TTRPG enthusiasts that offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for players from all walks of life.
As well as playing D&D, we organise regular social events and chat over on our Discord server.
â
How does it work?
- Members of the WW community run games each week, and other members sign up to play in them - simple as that
- Some games are one-shots (only lasting one evening), some are mini-campaigns (lasting 2-5 evenings), and some are campaigns (ongoing games usually lasting months)
â
How do I sign up as a player?
- Events are published on Sunday evenings for the following Tuesday
- Read through the games menu on the event and check which games have open slots
- RSVP and tell us in the prompt which games youâd be happy to play in (weâll aim to get you a place in your most preferred game)
- An organiser will message you on Meetup to confirm your attendance and which game youâll be on
- Arrive at the event on Tuesday (doors at 6pm, event start at 7pm) and an organiser will welcome you and direct you to your table, and your game master (GM) will take over from there
Note: you must be 18+ to attend
â
What if I can no longer make it?
That's totally OK - please just message the organiser who sent you your confirmation - with as much notice as possible to maximise the chances of filling your spot! đ
â
What do I need to bring to a session?
- Dice: Depending on the game system youâll need different types of dice. If you donât own the right dice or you forget them, other players on your table are usually happy to share.
- Character sheets: Sometimes GMs provide your character sheet which means you donât need to bring anything. But often you'll have to prepare your own character sheet (we recommend using the DnDBeyond app).
â
Can I order food to the table?
Yes! Please use the table number at your table when you order at the bar, so the pub staff know where to find you.
Hot tip: If you get the Chiswick Calendar Club card (ÂŁ4), you get 20% off for food and drink
â
How can I run a game?
- If youâd like to join our community of GMs, submit this form and an organiser will be in touch to discuss further
- We always recommend attending as a player at least once to make sure you enjoy the clubâs vibe!
â
Does it cost to attend?
No, WW is free for both players and GMs. We have a Patreon page for our particularly enthusiastic members, but this is completely voluntary.
ââ
â
Where/when?
- Where: At The George IV pub in Chiswick, in their function room at the back of the pub through the beer garden named the Boston Room
- When: Every Tuesday from 7-11pm
