About us
20s, 30s, and 40s (younger) adventure group, primarily focused around Skiing, Snowboarding, and the Outdoors. Lowest cost trips. Primarily based out of Philadelphia area, but with members who travel with us from all over USA. Goal is for new club members to have a sense of community and to experience awesome trips to amazing mountains together. Snowboarding, Skiing, Mountain Biking (mtb), Kayaking, Paddleboarding, Hiking, Rock Climbing, floating, happy hours, etc.
Most trip coordination is done via Facebook Messenger. Please send a message to John Harper with userID jph183psu on Facebook Messenger so we can communicate easier. Often times people's Meetup settings aren't set correctly to receive emails, and if we send you a Facebook Messenger message first, it goes into a hidden section.
Please check your Meetup messenger every once in a while too, especially if you hope to attend a trip or meetup and haven't seen any communication about it.
We have some "sister" groups based in Philly, Boston, NYC, Denver with a lot of overlapping members that we hope to publish trips and events with from time to time.

ST PATTY'S DAY HAPPY HOUR: GREAT AMERICAN PUB Conshohocken
123 Fayette St, Conshohocken, PA, USST PATTY'S DAY HAPPY HOUR for the best millennial-aged-outdoorsy crew in the Philly area!!! Time for the non-snow adventurers to crawl out from their hibernating spots for one March night to chat about rock climbing, or reminisce about the hikes this past summer & fall. For those who joined our most recent trips, or are coming on our upcoming trips.. Chat about Utah, Steamboat, Aspen, Alaska, Powder Chasing...
We will be at Conshohocken's Great American Pub but in a different room than usual and the attendance will be limited based on the room that we will be in. We will try to bring our Xplore Flag and and I (John) will wear a bright fluorescent yellow pinnie that I often wear on hikes, or maybe yellow caution tape that many of us wear to find each other easily on the ski slopes.
In XNM Meetup, make sure to look at all "UPCOMING EVENTS" and click "SEE ALL" to see ones that are beyond the next 4 events. Many more events are being planned each week.

ALYESKA RESORT,ALASKA (FULL, Join Waitlist)
Alyeska Ski Resort, 1000 Arlberg Ave, Girdwood, AK, USALYESKA RESORT, ALASKA
Alyeska Resort is Alaska’s largest ski area, located in the breathtaking Chugach Mountains and famous for its deep powder, long vertical runs, and stunning views of Turnagain Arm. Known for receiving over 650 inches of snow annually, Alyeska offers some of the best conditions in North America. On clear days, you’ll have panoramic ocean and mountain views, plus the chance to ski under the northern lights in the evening.
The mountain features terrain for all skill levels — from wide groomers and mellow blues in the lower areas to steep double-black diamond chutes and North Face runs for experts. There’s also plenty of sidecountry and backcountry access for those with avalanche training.
Alyeska is on the Ikon Pass (Full and Base tiers), so it’s easily accessible for passholders (reach out to John for Ikon Group Pricing). This trip is a great standalone destination but also pairs well with exploring Anchorage, Girdwood, and nearby heli-skiing options if you want to extend your adventure.***
LODGING:
We will be staying at houses in Girdwood, near the base of Alyeska Resort for easy access to lifts. Most lodging is within a 5–10 minute shuttle or drive to the base. The order in which your $300 deposit payment is received will determine priority for house and bed selection. While we cannot guarantee specific roommates or bed types, we will do our best to accommodate preferences. Expect shared kings & queens, and bunks — lodging in Alaska can be expensive, so we’ll keep costs low by sharing space. Your flexibility and patience is most appreciated on these tricky house trips.(FULL): House 1: (12 people) : https://www.vrbo.com/3179523
