Wissahickon Hike & Wissahickon Brewing Co prior to Ice Skating Event

Meeting in the Cadence Cycling parking lot located at 3740 Main St. in Manayunk. Plan to meet at 11:00 AM in the parking lot. We will depart around 11:15 AM. There are tow signs around the parking lot. No one has had any issues, but use your own judgement. We should be done in plenty of time if you are attending ice skating in the city later in the day. There is free parking in street in front of the lot and street parking near the Wissahickon train station. Simply walk through tunnel and down steps to the lot. SEPTA regional rail Wissahickon train station is one staircase away from this lot.
I anticipate the hike taking about 3.5 hours (If people want to cut it short, I don't mind adjusting). We will be doing an intermediate level hike through Wissahickon, a few short climbs. (totaling about 9-10 miles). We will hike up the “Yellow Trail” cross over the Wissahickon Creek at Valley Green, and come back on the other side of the creek.
We will then go to Wissahickon Brewing Co for lunch and some beers!
The hike has some rocks and steps, so good hiking shoes are recommended, but not required.
Leashed dogs are welcome if friendly with other people and other dogs, but they are your responsibility. Please clean up after your dogs and follow all park rules and regulations.
