أهلاً وسهلاً
Every Thursday 6 PM PDT 8 PM CST or 9 pm EST
We start with introductions and conversation and select various activities to vary the pace a bit.
We have started to explore the autobiography of Taha Hussein, an influential Egyptian writer who grew up blind in a village in Southern Egypt and went on to get Phds at the Sorbonne and became Egypt's Minister of Education and at the forefront of movements for social justice. We are open to suggestions for what to read or do during future groups.
Various people show up every week, from relative newcomers to native speakers. Our goal is to develop a regular group of people at a lower intermediate level and above who can have a basic conversation ( even if not fully fluent). We are supportive and can help if you have difficulty getting an idea across.
