أهلاً وسهلاً
Thursdays at 6:00 pm PDT (8:00 CST, 9:00 EST).

We start with introductions and conversation, and select other activities to vary the pace a bit. Sometimes the conversations take up the whole time.
Occasionally, we read passages from Easy Arabic News, which features graded reading for Arabic learners:
https://easyarabicnews.com/

This week we may talk about traditional Eid Pastries across the Arab world.
Here's one. ناعم. From Syria
الناعم السوري خبز رمضان يعد لأول مرة في إدلب وتعد أكلة من تراث أهل الشام

Various people show up every week, from relative newcomers to native speakers. Our goal is to develop a regular group of people at a lower-intermediate level and above who can have basic conversations (even if not fully fluent). We are supportive and can help if you have difficulty getting an idea across. People at a beginner level are welcome as well, and hopefully, you will get some benefit from hearing Arabic spoken.
