Before you can confidently market yourself to employers, you need to truly understand yourself. This session is designed to help you build self-awareness around your strengths, interests, values, and personality traits—key elements that impact not only how you show up in the job search, but also your satisfaction and success at work.
While self-assessment exercises won’t provide a crystal-clear answer or predictions about what you should do, they are a powerful starting point. These tools help you identify patterns, reflect on what motivates and energizes you, and build the clarity needed to make confident, intentional career decisions. They can also highlight areas where you may want to upskill, grow, or explore further—helping you take more strategic next steps in your job search or career journey.
Understanding who you are and what you bring to the table allows you to speak with clarity and confidence during interviews, build stronger applications, and make informed decisions about your next steps. Self-knowledge also gives you the language to communicate your value in a way that resonates with employers and aligns with meaningful opportunities.
In this 90-minute session, you will:
• Complete one (or two) guided self-assessments
• Explore how your skills, interests, and values influence your career path
• Learn to use tools like decision trees, informational interviews, and employment counselling
This session will wrap up with a 30-minute Q&A and an opportunity to book a one-on-one appointment with an Employment Counsellor. (Limited spots available!)
