Belvaux Experimental (12km)
Details
Hello Friends!
After last week's trip to the beautiful landscape of "Giele Botter" near Petange, I want to go to the "Terre Rouge" area again.
We've never been to Belvaux, at least I haven't; a few of you went last year with Gordon
To make it a loop, I had to improvise a bit, and almost half of the hike does not belong to an official trail category.
There are some chances to get lost and not find the path that we intend to take.
In order to make at least the return predictable for everyone, after the lunch break, we will follow a national trail back to the start.
There are a few viewpoints where we will do a short stop to take photos or have some water.
From the picnic spot where we will do our lunch break, it is just 5 km back to the start
Meeting Point:
We will meet at the train station "Belvaux-Soleuvre".
There's parking nearby, in case you want to come by car.
The Google Maps link below shows the parking. If you come by car, please go there.

Public Transport:
You can take train RB 6711 towards "Petange" via Esch, leaving "Gare Centrale" at 11.00, arriving at 11:40 in Belvaux.
Attention**: Sometimes there are 2 trains to Petange at the same time. One goes the shorter route via Bascharage, the other goes via Esch.**
Please make sure that you don't take the wrong train!
Please also make sure that you don't get off the train in Belval, unless you want to go to the cinema instead, it's "Belvaux"!
Car Pool:
If you come from a completely different direction or prefer the car for other reasons, you might offer a seat to a friendly co-hiker.

Passengers, please get into the cars of your favorite driver or place of departure, or on the waiting list if there's no free seat at the moment.
Don't forget to remove yourself from the waiting list when you find a seat in a car!
Disclaimer:
The hike is at your own risk, and please make sure to wear proper shoes and bring some water for yourself!
Looking forward to hiking with you!
Jens.
