Hiking Group 5th Anniversary Party (incl. barbecue)

"Yet Another Hiking Group in Luxembourg" was founded in May 2021, so this year's annual end-of-summer barbecue and party will also celebrate our 5th anniversary!

## The plan

The location will be the Walferdange Tennis Club pavilion:

We will meet there at 18:00, the BBQ will start around 19:30, and the party can go on until 1:00 am or even later (nuit blanche).

The venue is within walking distance of Walferdange train station and the bus stop "Helmsange, Tricentenaire":

We highly recommend using public transport!

The last regular buses near the venue leave about 10 minutes before midnight. After that, the nearest stop served by the CN6 night bus is about 2.5 km away.

## The weather

It's Luxembourg, so who knows? There may be rain – or maybe not ;)

Most of the party is planned to take place outside, so please dress accordingly.
If it rains cats and dogs, we can move inside, and we'll also have a tent as usual.

## The menu

The menu will be Greek-themed:
Greek meatballs (Keftedakia), Gyros and Souvlaki from the barbecue, fries, various salads and other Greek specialties.
There will also be vegetarian options and vegan sausages.

The fixed price for food is €30 per person, including one welcome drink of your choice (beer, wine, crémant or juice).

All additional drinks must be paid for separately at the bar.

The buffet style has worked very well in previous years, and we count on everyone to make sure that everybody gets a fair share. There's no need to rush when the buffet opens – it will be continuously refilled for quite a while.

We also want to make sure that our vegan and vegetarian friends get priority for the vegan sausages. So if you're not vegan or vegetarian, please don't suddenly discover your passion for vegan sausages at the party if you didn't tell us beforehand ;)

## IMPORTANT: new sign-up procedure

(changed from initial announcement)

• The venue has a capacity limit of 100 people
• The waiting-list only becomes active if we are close to this limit
• Prioritization for admission from the waiting-list will consider previous event (hike) participation

## Payment and refunds

• Confirmed attendees will need to prepay €30 per person.
• Once your registration has been confirmed, I will send you the Payconiq and PayPal payment information.
• We can only guarantee refunds for cancellations made before Thursday, the 10th. If your plans change and you cannot make it, please cancel as soon as you know.
• If you need to cancel after Thursday, you will need to "sell your seat" to someone on the waiting list.

## Timeline

We will finalize registrations and prepayments by Wednesday night.
On Thursday, we will give the final details to the venue. After that, we won't be able to make changes or guarantee refunds, so please make sure everything is settled by Wednesday night.

The most important part of the evening is simply to socialize: have some drinks together, enjoy good conversations, good laughs and good music.
