About Your Host Mojo
A lifelong traveler, social entrepreneur, and writer, Mojo has lived and worked around the world, from Hawaii to Holland, Sweden to South Africa. In his travels he explored the connections between gender, community, relationships, politics and culture.
The Warrior WoMan book is a result of these experiences. It inspired this group along with Mojo's mix of humor, academic research, and a passion for building bridges between women and men.
In 2004, Mojo founded the Hedonisia Hawaii Ecofeminist Community which blended sustainability and eco-tourism with programs fostering gender equality. It operated successfully for 14 years before it was destroyed by the Kilauea volcano eruption in 2018. Mojo now lives part-time in Montreal, and Hawaii.

Introduction to Yin-Yang Feminism: Finding Balance Between Women and Men
OnlineJoin us for the first session of our new online discussion series, Yin-Yang Feminism: Gender Equality for Women and Men.
This introductory workshop will explore the roots of Yin-Yang Feminism, a philosophy that views women and men not as adversaries but as partners in balance.
Drawing from cross-cultural experiences, research and ancient wisdom, this workshop presents a vision of gender equality based on harmony between masculine and feminine energies.
In this module we look at the roots of Western feminism, to better understand how we arrived at today’s polarized gender divide, and why it’s time to try a different approach.
Each 2-hour session combines a guided talk, open group dialogue, and interactive exercises. Together we will reflect on our personal experiences with gender, explore how imbalance shapes relationships, and imagine what true balance could look like in our lives, families, and communities.
Why Join?
- Learn the foundations of Yin-Yang Feminism, an approach to equality for both women and men based on ancient Eastern philosophy.
- Engage in respectful, thought-provoking discussions
- Participate in guided exercises designed to bring theory into practice
- Connect with an inclusive community committed to balance, empowerment, and healthy relationships
Format: Online via Zoom. Though the discussion can be followed on a smartphone, a tablet or laptop is recommended to fully participate in the meetup.
Cost: $13 per participant. This small fee helps create a respectful space and ensures that discussions are dominated by people who are serious about learning and contributing to the discourse.
Bonus: This Meetup is based on the Open Source book Warrior WoMan.
As a special welcome, anyone who purchases the Warrior WoMan manuscript will receive one complimentary entry to the meetup group.1 attendee
