About us
Exploring connection, trust, desire, and understanding between women and men
Are you ready for a new conversation about gender; one that brings women and men together instead of pulling them apart? We explore Yin-Yang Talks on Gender, Culture & Relationships, a vision of gender equality rooted in balance, respect, and partnership, not division.
This is not a therapy group. However, participants may find that a clearer understanding of modern gender dynamics naturally reduces confusion, stress, and conflict in their personal and professional lives.
By exploring how masculine and feminine energies interact across relationships, workplaces, and politics, the group offers practical insights that people can immediately apply. The result is a supportive, intellectually grounded space that often feels therapeutic because it helps members navigate real-world challenges with more confidence and clarity.
Though based in Montreal, most of our meetups will be held online so you can join from anywhere in the world.

About Your Host Mojo
A lifelong traveler, social entrepreneur, and writer, Mojo has lived and worked around the world, from Hawaii to Holland, Sweden to South Africa. In his travels he explored the connections between gender, community, relationships, politics and culture.
Mojo founded the Hedonisia Hawaii Ecofeminist Community which blended sustainability and eco-tourism with programs fostering gender equality. It operated successfully for 14 years until it was destroyed by the Kilauea volcano eruption in 2018. Mojo now lives part-time in Montreal, and Hawaii.
Practical Notes
The online Meetup Events will be on Montreal time (EDT or EST if Daylight Saving Time is in effect). Montreal is a beautiful vibrant city filled with a wide array of people and opinions living in a greater degree of harmony than many other cities with the same demographics. It is the base from which we are building this online community.
We’ll also host occasional in-person gatherings for those who want to connect face-to-face. They will be mostly in Montreal but also in Hawaii where the host, Mojo lives part-time.
Global Membership
The intention of this Meetup is to be global. Most events will be held online so you can join no matter where you live in the world.
Cost: $7 with an Early Bird Special of $5
This gathering offers something increasingly rare: a calm, intelligent space to make sense of gender dynamics without blame, diagnosis, or culture-war noise. Yin-Yang Gender Healing steps back from personal stories to explore the larger social patterns shaping relationships, work life, and everyday interaction, often bringing relief, clarity, that people don’t get from scrolling or arguing online. For the cost of a coffee, participants gain a shared, big-picture understanding that helps tensions feel lighter, conversations feel clearer, and daily interactions feel more balanced long after the evening ends.
Accessibility
If $7 is a barrier, you can apply to attend for free by becoming a Virtual Volunteer. One hour of remote volunteer work on any book or web project in the Hedonisia Lava to Lotus Portfolio grants access to an event.
The talk runs for one hour.
For those who wish to discuss personal gender related questions in confidentiality, we offer Yin-Yang Gender Healing Private Sessions.

How Culture Shapes Fear, Harm & Healing Between Women and Men
·OnlineOnlineThis online talk offers a calm, intelligent space to explore how conversations about sexual violence, trauma, and safety shape emotional life over time, not only in moments of harm, but in how women (and men) come to experience agency, confidence, desire, trust, and resilience afterward.
Rooted in the reality that modern feminism arose from real injustice and real suffering, the discussion honors the importance of naming harm and protecting women, while also stepping back to ask a larger question: How do our cultural stories about trauma, fear, and safety shape gender relations long after the crisis has passed?
Drawing on psychology, trauma research, feminist history, and cultural context, this gathering explores healing as more than recognition of harm alone. It looks gently at how strength, choice, and self-direction can grow alongside protection and justice.
This is not a debate. It is a form of big-picture understanding that many find grounding, clarifying, and quietly relieving, especially for those who feel overwhelmed by polarized gender conversations.
The host is male. Men are welcome. This space is intentionally non-confrontational, based on the belief that when women and men stop thinking and talking together about difficult realities, misunderstandings deepen and everyone pays the price.
