Mad River- Great Miami Paddle

Details
This event will be canceled in inclement weather or unsafe river conditions exist.
Planning to do a paddle trip down the Mad and Great Miami rivers through downtown Dayton with the group. We did this section of river last year and it should be fairly tame for the majority of the trip. If interested in joining this, you will need to own or borrow a kayak/canoe/paddle board (I will be using a paddle board).
Aiming to enter the Mad River in Eastwood Metropark at the Mad River Run and exit the Great Miami River near the Art Institute downtown (after we do the second rapids). There are three sets of rapids along this route which can be portaged around for those uncomfortable running them. Hoping to get on the river by 11 am and hoping to be able to get down to the Riverscape in time to see the fountains go off from the river.
I will also need some volunteers to help shuttle cars from the take-out location to avoid a long walk at the end of the trip. Would aim to drop cars off at 10 am.
IMake sure you bring water (there is no shade on the river), any snacks you may need, and sunscreen.
You will be responsible for your own safety and compliance with laws/regulations for your craft.
