On the public holiday, thirsday 19th of June at 10:00 AM, we will explore going upside down โ both physically and mentally โ as we work towards the headstand, Sirsasana.
The headstand is often called the โking of asanasโ โ and for good reason. It strengthens the shoulders, arms, and core, improves balance and concentration, and stimulates blood flow to the brain. But more than that, it teaches us patience, trust, inner stillness and seeing the world from another perspective.
Practicing inversions can feel scary at first. What matters is not whether we arrive in the full posture, but that we meet our fears with curiosity and compassion. Each small step is part of the journey.
This class will include a flow that both activates and calms the body, as we slowly build towards the headstand with preparatory exercises.
๐ณBecause the platform by the sea is flooded because of high tide this session will take place in Parque da Cidade.
Weโll meet at Fonte das รguas Fรฉrreas and walk together to our yoga spot.๐ณ

๐ง Bring your yoga mat โ if you donโt have one, Iโm happy to bring one for you
๐งฑ Optional: bring a yoga block
๐งฅ Bring a jacket in case itโs chilly
