Gentle Yin-restore and stretching yoga allows you to drop deep into the meditative aspects while loosening tight muscles and joints. We will utilize gravity to help hold postures, for 30 seconds to 3 minutes. There are no standing positions. For in studio classes we will supply blocks, bolster, and straps. Feel free to bring your own.
Just bring a mat, a towel and plenty of water or sports drink to stay hydrated in the hot sun or studio.
In Yoga Nidra and iRest you are lying down and the goal is to move into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep, which is a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. This state involves moving from consciousness while awake to dreaming and then to not-dreaming while remaining awake — going past the unconscious to the conscious. While it’s very structured, it is very easy to follow because it is guided.
Tantric Flow is a yoga and stretch class that is focused on energies in the lower torso. It has definite erotic possibilities for those who choose to tap in to those sensations. While it is intended as a solo practice, it is easily adapted for couples.
Men's naked indoor classes every Monday and Thursday at 7 pm til 8:15 pm and occasional Saturdays at 10 am. Yoga Nidra, iRest, and Tantric Flow dates TBA.
