About us

๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to Yongin Korean Speaking & Small Study Group (์šฉ์ธ ํ•œ๊ตญ์–ด ์ˆ˜์—…)
Are you living in Korea and looking for a structured, comfortable, and effective way to practice your Korean speaking skills? Youโ€™re in the right place!
This meetup is led by a professionally certified Korean language teacher (Level 2 Certified & Majored in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language).

๐Ÿ’ก Fluent in English: While all sessions prioritize Korean speaking practice, the host is fully fluent in English! Whenever tricky grammar, cultural nuances, or confusing expressions are hard to grasp in Korean alone, they will be clearly and comfortably explained in English to ensure you truly understand.
Each session is intentionally designed as an intimate, small-group class capped at strictly 4โ€“5 attendees (including the host) to ensure everyone gets personalized feedback, active speaking time, and natural pronunciation guidance.

๐ŸŽฏ Who Can Join?
โ€ข Non-native Korean learners living in or near Yongin (Expats, international students, foreign professionals, and travelers).
โ€ข Learners who are serious, passionate, and excited about practicing real-life spoken Korean!
*(Please note: This is not a language exchange group for practicing English. All sessions focus entirely on learning and speaking Korean.)*

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Bi-Weekly Sessions & Levels
To keep our sessions balanced and enjoyable for everyone, we run bi-weekly meetups separated by level:
1๏ธโƒฃ Week A: Absolute Beginners (์ž…๋ฌธ / ์ดˆ๊ธ‰)
โ€ข Hangeul pronunciation clinic, survival everyday phrases, self-introductions, ordering food, and foundational sentence building.
2๏ธโƒฃ Week B: Elementary ~ Intermediate (์ดˆ๊ธ‰~์ค‘๊ธ‰ ํšŒํ™”)
โ€ข Real-life conversational dialogues, K-culture & daily trends, natural pronunciation nuances, error correction, and guided free-talking in Korean.

โš ๏ธ Important Club Rules (Please Read Before RSVPing!)
Because each session is strictly limited to just 4 people, empty seats impact everyone:
1. Serious RSVPs Only: Please RSVP only if you are fully committed to attending.
2. 24-Hour Notice for Cancellation: If your schedule changes, please update your RSVP or send a direct message to the host at least 24 hours in advance so another student can take your spot.
3. No-Show Policy: Unnotified no-shows will unfortunately be removed from future RSVP lists out of respect for everyone's time.
