Summer Solstice Walk - Nidderdale Greenway

Details

Let's celebrate the longest day of the year with a Summer Solstice Walk.

Join us to celebrate the this longest day of the year, as the golden light stretches lazily across the sky, we’re setting out on a special solstice adventure along the beautiful Nidderdale Greenway. Our path will take us through leafy tunnels of green, across the stunning Nidd Viaduct with its sweeping river views, and onward to the legendary Boar’s Head in Ripley, where a well-earned pint awaits! 🍻

But don’t get too comfortable—there’s more magic ahead! After soaking in the solstice vibes, we’ll retrace our steps, enjoying the evening glow as we make our way back to the ever-welcoming Gardeners Arms in Bilton.

With two fantastic pubs, spectacular scenery, and the endless charm of the summer countryside, this walk promises good cheer, great company, and memories bathed in sunlight.

So let’s hit the trail, celebrate the solstice, and toast to a day where daylight lingers 🌿🌅🍺

This walk is about 4 miles, all on easy footpaths, with only a few inclines.

As with all the trails, I am asking for a donation of £3 to be paid on the day. The money raised (after Meetup website costs etc) will be donated to MIND and Dementia UK.

When you RSVP for this trail, you accept that you remain responsible for your own safety at all times. Please respect other attendees and be mindful of the safety of others.

Thank you!
G :)
