Gentle Yoga Workout by the Beach

Details
Join us for a yoga workout by the beach led by a certified yoga instructor.
We will first do some gentle yoga stretches, coordinated with breath, to help restore the balance between the body and mind.
We will also do some simple yoga exercises for improving strength, fitness and flexibility.
These exercises will help reduce muscular tension and mental stress, and might be helpful for those who have chronic conditions such as asthma, high-blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, or body aches.
Please Note: These exercises are NOT cures but rather tools to manage symptoms and to stabilize the situation so that the body and mind can regain balance. In most cases, a full remedy of chronic conditions, if its possible, would require long term lifestyle changes. In this regard, you should continue the medication and suggestions prescribed by your doctor and engage in sustainable physical activity.
Meeting Point X: The tree at the beach behind the barbecue pit, marked with a Red X in the attached map above (see also photo below). It is in front of the bike rental place that is next to toilet C4.
Nearest carpark is C4, and it is a short walk from the Siglap Canal Park Connector. Closest MRT station is Marine Terrace. Nearby bus stops are at Marine Terrace and Marine Parade Road. There is also SBS 401 which comes to the East Coast Park Service Road. If coming from Marine Terrace/Parade, cross over using the overhead bridge near Blk 2.
If it starts to rain just before we start, we will shift to the nearby covered area of Raintree Cove, marked with a Y in the map.
Meeting Time: 6pm. Come a bit earlier to find the meeting spot. We will do quick introductions and an overview before starting.
Exercise Start Time: 6.10pm
Note: sunset is at 7.10 but last light is at 7.30, so we have ample light to do the yoga in the cool evening by the sea.
Yoga Duration: about 1 hour : including warm ups, loosening, yoga and final relaxation.
Optional Post Yoga Walk and Meal: For those interested: a walk to the Marine Parade Central Hawker centre followed by meal and chat.
Attire: Dress for bending and stretching comfortably. You will need to remove your shoes/sandals during the exercises.
To bring:
1. Mat or large towel to sit on.
Some of the exercises will require resting on the knees: so make sure you have something to cushion them (eg thick mat or thick towel or knee pads).
2. A full water bottle to rehydrate.
3. A napkin too if you find it useful.
