Details
Thaipussam is a religious event of prayer and penance celebrated mainly by Hindu Tamils. Devotees with piercings walk barefooted while carrying kavadis along a colorful and music filled 4km route.

If you are interested to view the procession and experience the vibe of the participants, crowds, and music then join us for this event.
At the same time its an opportunity to meet new people and chat about Life, the Universe and Everything, ....or remain in silence as you wish :)
Of course we will end with a meal and/or kopi and more chatting for those who are hungry in body and mind.
Meetup Time: 4 pm
Meetup Point: To be confirmed (but likely near Farrer Park MRT)
Event Start Time: 4.15 pm

Attire: Dress for comfort and walking.
To bring: A full water bottle to rehydrate and a cap in case of drizzle.
In case of rain: the event might start later or be postponed.

Total time: about 2.5 hrs
Tentative Plan: To watch the procession and human drama from several different vantage points along the route.
