🔶Description:
Would you like to see the Zoshigaya Kishimojin Oeshiki Festival?
This traditional event has been held annually from October 16th to 18th, centered around the memorial day of Saint Nichiren, since the Kyowa, Bunka, and Bunsei eras (early 19th century). It is planned and operated by local neighborhood associations, Homyoji Temple, and the Oeshiki Federation.
On the day of the festival, participants parade to Kishimojin holding Mando lanterns, which are 3 to 4 meters high and covered entirely with white Japanese paper flowers, while beating uchiwa daiko (fan drums). If you haven't yet seen the enchanting night procession of the Mando lanterns, please come and see it.
