*JR Akihabara Station "Electric Town Exit" (Denki-gai-guchi) is the closest. Please be careful, as taking the wrong exit will make the walk significantly longer.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Enjoy a uniquely Tokyo-style Bon dance festival at Kanda Myojin, a historic shrine located near Akihabara.
Traditional lanterns, shrine architecture and the atmosphere of a Japanese summer festival are combined with anime songs and contemporary popular culture.
You can watch the dancers, enjoy the music or join the circle by following the movements of the people around you. Dancing well is not important—the event is about sharing the atmosphere and enjoying the summer evening.
This event is recommended for people interested in anime, Japanese shrines, festivals, music or contemporary Tokyo culture.

The shrine grounds are expected to be extremely crowded.
Please stay aware of the people around you and follow instructions from shrine and festival staff.
The event is expected to take place in light rain but may be cancelled in heavy rain or if the official festival is cancelled.
Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

イベント内容
秋葉原の近くにある歴史ある神社・神田明神で、毎年人気の「アニソン盆踊り」を一緒に楽しみます。
提灯の明かり、神社の建築、夏祭りの空気にアニメソングが重なる、神田・秋葉原らしい特別な盆踊りです。
踊りが得意でなくても問題ありません。輪の外から眺めたり、音楽を楽しんだり、周囲の動きをまねして少しだけ踊ったり、それぞれの楽しみ方ができます。
伝統的な盆踊りと現代のアニメ文化が同じ境内で重なる光景は、東京ならではです。
アニメ、神社、夏祭り、音楽に興味がある方におすすめします。
