The secret to happiness is to get off dopamine (from our phones, social media, sugar) and onto serotonin, as Dr. Robert Lustig's research proves (http://www.robertlustig.com/4cs/). Buddhist meditation is founded on long term happiness, contentment, and a kind of supersensual bliss called "piti." There are Four Cs to practice, and one of them is face to face contact, seeing another deeply, and hugging.
