Zen is the most popular kind of Buddhism yet few understand it, instead replacing it with emptiness, iconoclasm, or free-form "whatever." There is a point It's a style of practice to get cool, calm, and collected. It's as easy and impossible as Alan Watts and D.T. Suzuki made it out to be when describing it to Western practitioners.
