Spring Begins: Mushroom Hunt Herb Walk with Local Native Guide (Pasadena)

Details
Los Angeles, the land of the Tongva (Kizh), the original Native inhabitants of this basin, is full of mushrooms and herbs of all kinds. They serve as native food, medicine and, according to Paul Stamets (https://www.fungi.com), will save the planet.
Want to learn about the indigenous people and practices, trekking in the woods and foothills on an "Easter Egg" (Spring Shroom) hunt? This is a casual herb walk.
We'll read from "Alice in Wonderland" and "Healing with Medicinal Plants of the West" by a Native shaman and USC professor. Our guides will be Native American local Xochitl and plant expert, outdoorsman, and prolific author Christopher Nyerges (https://www.christophernyerges.com).
$20. Bring water bottle, snack, basket, and a poem. We'll be sampling many of the delicious-nutritious and wild medicinal herbs we forage in a big salad. Bring your appetite.
