Buddha's Birthday (Vesak) on Cinco de Mayo

Free event. The historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, was born on the full moon day in Vesak (April-May) In Pasadena it is being celebrated on Cinco de Mayo.

There will be eating free food, a day of meditation, and cultural entertainment in the evening, all at Pasadena's Los Angeles Buddhist Vihara (http://labuddhistvihara.org/, https://www.facebook.com/LABuddhistVihara/), a Sri Lankan Theravada temple full of rich island-traditions near India.

Spiritual program/meditation: 8:00 am-6:00 pm
Cultural celebration: 6:30-9:30 pm
