About us

Living in Tokyo, I sometimes feel a quiet sadness watching travelers come and go, seeing only the same few things. Temples, sushi, the neon of Shibuya. All beautiful, of course. And yet — Japan holds so much more beneath the surface. The stillness before ink touches paper. The breath of Zen. The slow time of old myths. Art made to disappear. I created this group because I wanted company — people willing to feel that quieter, less visible Japan with me, even just for the short while they are in Tokyo.
