Details
Winter Mind Meditation is a live guided Zen meditation led by Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon, exploring stillness, light, and renewal through the quiet energy of winter.
This meditation is designed for anyone seeking deep rest, mental clarity, and emotional grounding during times of slowing down, uncertainty, or transition. Using traditional Zen practice, this session gently guides you through:
• Breath awareness and quiet sitting
• Mantra meditation
• Crystal bowl sound meditation
• A contemplative Zen koan rooted in winter
• Resting in awareness beyond thought
Rather than striving or fixing, this meditation invites the mind to settle naturally, the way snow settles on the ground after a storm. Thoughts are allowed to arise and pass without resistance, revealing the clear awareness that remains underneath.
This session is especially supportive if you are exploring:
- Zen meditation and Buddhist practice
- Mindfulness and awareness beyond thought
- Stress relief and nervous system regulation
- Compassion-based mantra meditation
- Sound meditation with crystal bowls
- Seasonal reflection and beginning again
All are welcome to attend, regardless of prior experience or background. While the class is free of charge, donations are greatly appreciated to support the Zen Art Center's mission to cultivate inner peace and harmony in the world. Your generosity enables us to expand our schedule of offerings and continue serving our community.
Studio 5R is on the 1st floor, call 781-530-0753 if the front door is locked.
