When the world feels chaotic, urgent, or overwhelming, how do you respond? In this guided meditation, Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon, founder of the Mind Light Way School of Zen, leads you through powerful Zen practices to cultivate clarity, compassion, and wise action — even when life feels like it’s on fire.
This session is for anyone feeling anxious, scattered, or burdened by the intensity of modern life. Through breathwork, mantra meditation, sound meditation, koan practice, and direct exploration of pure awareness, Zen Master Rizzon shows how to return to undivided attention in the present moment. Rather than reacting from confusion, you learn how to respond from grounded clarity.
You’ll explore:
- Mind-Heart Breathing to reset anxiety and align body and mind
- Counting the breath to strengthen attention
- Sound meditation to dissolve the boundary between self and world
- Mantra meditation with Kwanseum Bosal to cultivate compassion
- Pure awareness meditation beyond thought, identity, and memory
- Koan practice to cut through conceptual thinking
- Moving meditation — bringing Zen into daily life
At the heart of this teaching is a koan:
“The whole world is on fire — what do you do?”
This is not a question of panic. It is a question of clarity.
If you’re seeking meditation guidance, spiritual grounding, or practical Zen wisdom for modern life, this guided meditation offers direct, usable tools for living with focus and compassion — even in difficult times.
Following the meditation session, Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon will take questions from the audience. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions to deepen their understanding of meditation, Zen, life, or even the mind itself!
All are welcome to attend, regardless of prior experience or background. While the class is free of charge, donations are greatly appreciated to support the Zen Art Center's mission to cultivate inner peace and harmony in the world. Your generosity enables us to expand our schedule of offerings and continue serving our community.
