Alpine Panorama Trail – Stage 5: Stein SG → Amden A scenic moderately challenging hike with stunning views of Walensee.

Path: Start in the mountain village of Stein SG, finish in Amden (with a breathtaking view of Walensee). From Amden, you can take the bus to Wesen or descend further to Wesen village.
Distance: 14 km | Ascent: 860 m | Descent: 500 m (to Amden) or 1000 m (to Wesen)
Duration: ~5–6 hours (with breaks) | Difficulty: Moderate
Meetup: 8:00–8:10 at Zürich HB, lines 43/44. Buy a ticket to Stein SG, Dorf (departure 8:24).
Bring: Plenty of water, lunch/snacks, sunscreen, rain jacket, layers, sturdy hiking shoes, trekking poles (optional).
