Cancellations must be communicated via email to info@zurichwineacademy.com up to 15 calendar days before the start of the course for a full refund. If the cancellation is communicated after this period, the student will lose the right to a refund.

Joanna Abendroth, DipWSET | Weinakademiker candidate

Born and raised in Poland, my journey with wine began among the vines that grew around my family home. While our homemade fermentations were modest, these grapes sparked an enduring passion for wine.

Originally obtaining degrees in political science and linguistics, in 2016, I began a new chapter in Switzerland, knowing little about Swiss wines. Determined to deepen my understanding, I immersed myself in wine culture, from participating in grape harvests to pursuing WSET courses. Today, armed with a WSET Level 4 Diploma from the Austrian Wine Academy, I proudly contribute to the Swiss wine industry working as Zurich Store and Events Manager at Terravigna and as Lecturer at Zürich Wine Academy.

As a wine educator, I strive to make wine approachable for all, rejecting snobbery in favour of inclusivity. I navigate the dilemma of exploring unfamiliar varieties or enjoying my beloved classics.
