Examining the Scientology Warp Drive.

We're getting a real treat this monthly meeting with Russel Orrell, a former Scientologist with Class 8 rating (that's the highest level available besides class 9, which L. Ron Hubbard exclusively had).

Russel was an atheist at 12 but at 20 I joined the church of Scientology and became a minister. He was in the church for about 15 years. During that time he became an auditor - Class 8 and an Operating Thetan 3x and then left happy. He taught and supervised others auditing, kind of a promo game Scientologists play to snag their new members. For a while he did special assignments for the Guardian's Office in defense of Scientology against its enemies (black ops). Russel would like to illuminate the mechanics and power of auditing, the core of Scientology theology, in light of current neuroscience. He will explain how all cults are fueled by similar processes. He will also give some pointers for dealing with people who are engaged in a cult.

As usual there will be dinner for all at $12 or the lecture alone at $8. everyone will especially enjoy the Q&A which follows the lecture.  Dress warm, our patio heaters only go so far. This would also be a good time to make a contribution to our holiday display sign which will will be placing in Mission Viejo on La Paz and Chrisanta on Wed the 14th at 5pm.  We've raised about $50 of a $200 cost for the display.

Try and park on Blueridge just south of our house and call if you get lost  [masked] 6153. Bruce

I'm sorry I didn't make it. Wasn't up for it after the death of a friend.

    Bruce
I joined your BYS group and plan to attend Wed. Eve.

May I bring my girlfriend as a guest or does she also need to sign up for the BYS group.

    Thanks

Can I bring my 8 year old daughter? Will there be other children?

Being that I am new to the group, I'm still figuring things out. What time should I arrive at for this event? I'm really fascinated by the topic and I can't wait to hear Mr. Orrell's talk.
