Remarkably successful! Attendees skeptical @1st, having2 standup &sort themselves(that no1 had done b4) but reluctantly did, &it turnedout a blast! Nearly everyone endedup pairingup into a successful collaborating team!,just as the piHcs show. W/this new teaching method http://1.JotHHere.com/LUMDBI I cameup w/, Donna's seemingly impossible idea of hving real+serious training 4free actually turned into a reality! Even Android experts Jefferey Peacock & James T. joined in to help. &the tutorials that Donna had suggested & downloads Rohit had suggested, which I had assembled as a syllabus, worked like champ. As I SMSed buds, "Indeed it worked pretty much just as I designed: First meetup where I & u & most everyone actually got some needed basic learning done! I was so happy it benefited u and others!" "The meeting went great. Indeed, real ground-breaking, as I had hoped. Mbrs apparently liked it so much instead of monthly they asked for it weekly!" -this&more@ http://1.JotHere.com/LVLQ7H

It was a very well planned and hands on technical meeting. Great job done by Donna and Rohit in putting together an event like this.

    Anoush, great Q! Essentially,
WHAT STANDARD TEXT & SOFTWARE FOR THIS TRACK? U are a mind reader. Event leaders Donna & Rohit are now working on this PLUS A COURSE AGENDA (Sanjeev may join in, too): see the event discussion thread at post http://meetup.com/OCAndroid/mes... in particular point (LUMWY6=We need a standard text ...). We'll try to get URLs for people to study & download in advance.
ANYONE WITH TEXT & SOFTWARE SUGGESTIONS, post them there. Thanks.
