Hello fellow members of Photographic Lighting Workshops,
Our June 23 Lighting Workshop will be a combination of indoor and outdoor lighting. We will be exploring multiple light setups for Business and Fashion Portraiture. While sound portrait lighting is the building block to taking your photography to the next level, we will explore some techniques that create impact and drama.
We will also be learning how to create a portable Portrait Studio using low cost, high performance, shoe mount strobes, allowing you to build a multi light system for less than the price of one automatic OEM unit. That fact alone will energize your desire to learn great techniques and be able to bring what you learn home for exciting results. Of course, you will need to practice and that is where low cost high performance shoe mount strobes and radio triggers come into the picture.
While creative lighting may seem a daunting step to take, you will learn how to intuitively set your base exposure and then build your lighting system around your initial camera setting, using guide number ratios and the small business card calculator you each receive, along with many sample images, to stimulate your imagination and remind you of the settings. In this class, you will learn to recognize the five building blocks of dimensional lighting. We will begin indoors, learning sound lighting principles with hands on training and then translate what is learned to an outdoor setting. This Workshop will allow you to create On Location Portraits with minimum set up time and an unheard of low cost lighting system that produces pro lighting. So sign up now for the June 23 class, bring your cameras, small flash units, if you have them, and a big heaping of imagination and be prepared to create master images. I will posting some new images from some recent test shoots using this new gear. So stay tuned and get a sneak peak of what to expect from our upcoming Photographic Lighting Workshops; June 23 in Chandler, July 21 at Tempe Camera, July 29 for our Summer Get Away to Catalina and October 14 at Falcon Field.
