This group is for the general public to enjoy wine and socialize. Whatever wine you like is OK here, because this group is not for the wine industry or the "wine expert" snobs. The organizer is not part of the wine industry and does not take money or gifts from the wine industry, e.g., no web site sponsors. We don't promote or push any wine brands on our web site. We only go to nice QUIET uncrowded venues. None of our photos are of paid professional models, just us. Our meetups are close to BART stations making it easy for people around the Bay Area to attend.
UNCORKING NEWS, November 11th: On Saturday, November 21st, we go back to the wine bar & shop called "Wine," a long time favorite of mine. They usually play soft mellow music. They have a list of 40 wines by the glass or half glass that changes every week. Deli type food is also sold here. On a Saturday night we almost have the place to ourselves.
The Melanoma International Foundation (MIF) is having a wine get together called "Drink for Health and for a Cure!" at Press Club on Thursday December 10, 2009, 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Press Club as our members should know by now is at 20 Yerba Buena Lane, SF. Melanoma is skin cancer. Their message to me also says, "Also please consider making a tax deductible donation to MIF."
