Module 1/5 | Turn conventional wisdom about entrepreneurship on its head

Module 1/5 | Lean Startup | Discover a methodology that matters today.
Dear Smart Member,
This is the first in a cycle of mature workshops, delivered* by our experienced local Lake Geneva team. *since 2012
(Event format: 90 minutes of high quality training which includes hands-on exercises in subgroups. From 20h30 onwards, informal networking with fellow participants.)
Lean Startup is on everyone’s lips these days. Young entrepreneur communities and major companies across the Globe talk about it, and nearly every week we’re invited to yet another event that contains “lean” somewhere.
Recently we’ve had the Lean Startup Machine and Lean Marketing – and since the Harvard Business Review published Why the Lean Startup changes everything –in May 2013, the Corporate world is catching on too.
And yet, if you dig a little deeper, let’s say during a friendly chat over a Martini, you may well come to realise that neither yourself nor your colleagues clearly understand what Lean Startup really stands for, what it represents and how it can help you in a concrete way.
To fill in possible knowledge gaps, we propose to take you on a journey of discovery, learning and implementation of basic and essential Lean Startup principles.
Your journey starts today (this invitation) and ends in June 2014.
This series of workshops is for people who want to transform an idea into a sustainable business. Join us if you’re an aspiring entrepreneur ready to launch a business, a business savvy leader ready to embrace innovative thinking or a department head in a large company who’s curious and ready to abandon outmoded thinking.
By attending this first session on 27th February , you will gain understanding in 3 key areas:
-
What’s behind Lean Startup? Its origins, the players, the jargon, the tools, the resources.
-
The core milestones: Customer Discovery Interviews, Value Proposition Canvas, Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
-
From the hands-on activity you take away 3 major insights: 1. Why prototyping matters. 2. Why diverse skills are essential. 3. Why you can't do without the "build, test, and learn" cycle.
As is usual in our tried workshops, there will be an interactive, hands-on session that allows you to transfer what you’ve learnt into your own entrepreneurial space.
Please ensure you don’t miss the complete workshop cycle by booking your place now
