Twin Oaks Communities Conference
Labor Day Weekend
August 30 - September 2, Louisa VA
An FIC co-sponsored event

Organizing is underway for the 2013 Communities Conference at Twin Oaks Community! Held on Labor Day weekend, Aug 30 - Sept 2, this event hosts around 160 community enthusiasts, from people who've lived in community for decades to those just getting their feet wet.

The program includes workshops, open space, networking opportunities, and, of course, a rockin' dance party!

Register before June 1st for an Early Bird discount.

This year's theme is Community Vs. Uncertainty: What role can community play in preparing for an uncertain future? How can cooperation and resource sharing be leveraged to create equitable, sustainable and satisfying solutions to local and global crises?

Also, our Monday program will focus on the Solidarity/New Economy for a more in-depth look at how different kinds of communities are organizing to create a just and sustainable economy for all people.

Check out our website and the Conference facebook page for updates.

This year we are again making indoor accommodations available in addition to the usual camping option. Register early because indoor space is limited.

Again, the Early Bird Discount is in effect through May 31st! If you haven't been before you'll fall in love with beautiful woods of Central Virginia, Twin Oaks, and all the amazing people that are the driving force behind the Intentional Communities movement.
