This Meetup group is operated by Friends of Long Island Dog Parks (June 18, 2020), which does business as the Long Island Dog Owners Group (LI-DOG). Our goal is to socialize with other dog owners and organize fun things to do with our dogs including dog-friendly events and enjoying Long Island's beautiful dog-friendly parks and beaches!

Barkin' Brunch at The Refuge With LI-DOG!
The Refuge, 515 Broadhollow Rd., Melville, NY, USHow does Sunday Brunch on a sun-dappled patio with LI-DOG sound? Even better, how does Sunday Brunch with your favorite furry friend sound? If either or both sound great, then join LI-DOG for Barkin' Brunch at The Refuge on Sunday, October 5th!
Besides great food, there’ll be drink specials, dog treats, great raffles, and more! Visit The Refuge Menu to check out all the delicious Brunch and Brunch Cocktail options the restaurant has on offer. Don’t forget to ask for the special Doggie Menu!
Once you and your pup are out on the patio, please stop by the LI-DOG table to sign in and check out all the great raffle baskets we’ve put together!

PLEASE NOTE: In order to have Brunch and be seated at a table, you must have a reservation. The Refuge strongly recommends making your reservation ahead of time by calling 631-577-4444, but you may still make one when you arrive on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Pet Parent Essentials for the Brunch: Make sure to walk your dog outside the venue before entering, bring poop bags, and watch your dog closely. Please note that while well-socialized and fully vaccinated dogs are allowed on the outdoor patio, ONLY service dogs are permitted to enter the indoor bar/restaurant area.

Join LI-DOG on Sunday, November 2nd for a frightfully fun afternoon at the lovely Pine Grove Inn in East Patchogue for our Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest & Pawty! It will be a paws-itively delightful celebration for dogs and their favorite humans.

Cruella DeVille and her Dalmatians? Old McDonald and his farm animals?

o Farmina Foods will be there to tell you about their healthy pet meals and offer your pup a tasty morsel.
o VEG – Commack will be on hand with giveaways, tips for a safe holiday season with your pup, and information about their new, life-saving canine blood bank.

A lovely setting! Imagine a big lawn with a lazy river flowing by, a pretty gazebo in the corner, and tables with umbrellas on a brick patio with an outdoor bar serving HowloWeen-themed drinks nearby. That’s the Pine Grove Inn!

Let’s make this Howl-O-Ween one to remember!Our Howl-o-Ween Pawty is an important fundraiser for LI-DOG. So grab your pup, your dog-loving friends and family and join us on November 2nd for what will be a great time AND a great way to support LI-DOG’s work to get more access to parks and beaches for Long Island dog owners and their pups!
Discounted advance tickets for $15 per person will be available for purchase from our website soon. On the day of the event, tickets will be $20 per person. Dogs and children 12 and under are always FREE.
Please be aware that if you purchase advance tickets, you’ll receive confirmation from PayPal that your payment has been received. You will not receive an actual ticket. We will have a list of all prepaid ticket holders at our Welcome table when you check in. Just give them your name and you’re in!
Besides getting your ticket, please also RSVP so we can let the restaurant know how many guests to expect!

***We need volunteers to help make our Pawty a success! Email us at events@lidog.org with Howl-o-ween Pawty Volunteer in the subject line if you’d to help decorate the venue, set up our raffles, or participate in other ways!Please be aware that dogs must remain leashed on non-retractable leads at all times. As always, please walk your dog before entering the venue. Dogs are not permitted inside the restaurant.
NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, please check our website, Facebook or Meetup the morning of the event. If there is no announcement the Pawty is ON!
