I have watched a number of posts and hope you'll be able to provide me
with some helpful context.
Most of us work in the commercial world (as in, our firms exist to make

now unearthing their data assets (i.e, taking inventory) to see what they
could do with that data (as in banks, real-estate firms, industrial
companies, software giants, and the like).

Here's the challenge - I'm looking for some interesting use cases, and if
anyone would like to submit an idea or suggestion, please do so.
Here goes:

Is there a benefit (or a business opportunity) in the integration of open
data and corporate data?  What would these opportunities look like, and
what would be the value proposition.

Re: shutdown. I happen, for the moment, to be one of the lucky ones, as a
part of our contract with the federal agency I work with is funded from
the *last* fiscal year.  But as I page though Facebook, my heart grows
heavy for people not so lucky. I follow a fair number of military Facebook isn't pretty. It's not a big deal if you live in an urban area
and the commissary shuts down--it is if your base is in the middle of the
